We moved my mother with Alzheimer’s to Aegis in Ventura last December. Although the decision and process of physically moving my mother was an incredibly nerve-wracking experience for me and my family. I am happy to report she is doing well and LOVES her new home at Aegis. My mother takes full advantage of the freedom to safely roam the facility and outdoor courtyard and walks the path several times a day. She has made several friends, is comfortable with the caring staff, enjoys the fun outings, and raves about the food! She loves music and dancing and we have had so many cherished moments with her during the scheduled activities. I have seen a marked improvement in her disposition and no longer worry about her safety. She’s always thrilled to see us! Alzheimer’s is an unforgivable disease, but my mother is safe and happy at Aegis and I couldn’t be more thankful.
