Take in sweeping views of Lake Union and the Space Needle from our extraordinary Assisted Living and Memory Care community, located in the very heart of Seattle in Eastlake. Opened in August 2022, the community is both stunning and inviting—you will feel right at home here, whether hosting friends and family in the elegant private dining room, watching fireworks from the Sky Terrace, socializing with new friends over lunch, or enjoying the view in your private apartment. However you choose to spend your days, you will always be surrounded by our big-hearted team who provides thoughtful, personal care to every resident.
Aegis Living Lake Union is the world’s first Assisted Living community built to meet the rigorous sustainability building standards of a Living Building Challenge Petal Certification. It is designed to be emission-free and energy-efficient, and harnesses solar power and rainwater. Inspired by the history of rowing on Lake Union, the community’s architecture resembles a shell-house design, and the exterior features a striking mural of the legendary rowing team from the University of Washington, who won Gold in the 1936 Olympics.
Our talented chefs cater to your needs, offering flexibility in when and where you dine, as well as plenty of menu options to suit every palate and craving. Our menus are developed by registered dietitians and are as nutritious as they are delectable.
The daily experience here is set apart by our creative Life Enrichment team. We customize our programs to fit the interests of our residents. Activities (over 200 every month!) range from classic favorites to innovative offerings, like tai chi, music therapy, flower arranging, TED Talks, walking club, and yoga.
Our state-of-the-art community has won numerous architecture and design awards. Most recently, we were named the winner of the Design for Aging Award by the American Institute of Architects. Our beautiful building was recognized for evoking Seattle’s historical connection to rowing through materials and motifs while providing a sustainable and healthy living standard for residents.
