The staff at Aegis Pleasant Hill helped Mom with a difficult transition and made her feel at home within her first few days. She enjoys the variety of fresh food, the wonderful outdoor space with birds, trees, and a fountain, and the new friends she’s made. She’s been very happy here.

I enjoy the daily activities and how [the team] invites me to each activity. I am forgetful at 98 years old, and I appreciate the invites. It gets me active and happy! I like to be with other people! The chef is very creative with his food, and it’s delicious.

My dad has been living at Aegis Pleasant Hill after he was widowed three years ago. To say that he found a community and a setting in which to flourish would be an understatement. My dad loved the beautiful decor, the beautiful grounds, and the musical performances. He also loved the food, his room, and mostly, the tremendous staff. We were so pleased with our dad’s situation that we now have our mother at another Aegis in Moraga, as our parents were divorced years ago. The Aegis philosophy respects the individuality that our parents have developed over many years. They stimulate their minds, enhance and enrich their lives. That is so much more than just assisting them with daily tasks of living.
