Assisted Living is a long-term care solution for seniors who need help and are no longer safe or thriving living independently. An Assisted Living community provides around-the-clock care by trained care team members in a home-like environment. The care managers assist with the activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, transferring, eating, and medication management, depending on the resident’s needs. Most Assisted Living communities employ an on-staff nurse to oversee medical care plans and assist with changes in care as needs increase. Assisted Living communities are not clinical like a hospital, but rather comfortable and welcoming homes. They are built on a social model to engage residents and encourage making new friends. Residents eat their meals together in a shared dining room, enjoy communal areas, socialize during daily activities, and live in private apartments.

Our Assisted Living residents have access to 24/7 care teams, who are always ready to assist with healthcare needs, ADLs, medication management, diabetes care, mobility support, and more. In addition, we provide concierge services, weekly housekeeping, laundry services, scheduled transportation, all-day activities programming, and elegantly designed common areas where residents can socialize. All residents have access to all-day dining and enjoy chef-prepared meals made with local, seasonal produce.

Medicare does not cover the cost of Assisted Living. At Aegis Living, all of our communities are private pay only. Our team is here to provide guidance and support, helping you navigate alternative options such as long-term care insurance or veterans’ benefits. We are dedicated to helping you find the necessary resources and information to make an informed decision about the financial aspects of Assisted Living.

Absolutely! First and foremost, this is your home. We encourage family and friends to visit and spend time with their loved ones in our communities, in residents’ apartments or in our lovely common areas and outdoor spaces. We have private dining rooms you’re always welcome to book for a special occasion.

Our Assisted Living communities differ from CCRCs (Continuing Care Retirement Community) or independent living communities because our residents are able to age in place in the same apartment as their care needs change. Unlike independent living, which is designed for self-sufficient seniors, Assisted Living provides dedicated support and personalized care within a comfortable community setting. While CCRCs provide a continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care, residents are required to move from floor to floor or building to building once they require additional levels of care, causing them to leave behind familiar comforts and friends. At Aegis Living, we’re able to accommodate changing care needs while keeping residents in their same apartment to help avoid stressful moves.

Yes, we happily accommodate couples with differing care needs. Personalized care plans are created to meet the unique needs and preferences of the individual, not the couple. Care plans are created to address each individual’s requirements while promoting a shared, fulfilling lifestyle in a supportive environment where they are together.

All our communities are pet friendly, allowing residents to bring their small beloved pets for companionship. Speak with the general manager of the community to clarify any limitations.

Apartment Rental

Monthly rent covers the cost of your loved one’s apartment and includes services such as housekeeping, meals, transportation, and utilities.

Care Services

When it comes to care, we charge based on care points—charging individually for the care services that the resident will receive and paying only for what they need. This structure allows families to remove or add services as their loved ones’ needs change.

Community Fee

Your one-time community fee contributes to maintaining our beautiful communities for your enjoyment, as well as to preparing for your arrival.
